Flea Market Finds Pour La Semaine Cinquante et un

Bonjour mon amis!

It's that time of the week again.....Time ....for.......

FLEA MARKET FINDS!!

YAYYYY  YAHOOO!.......Lots of thrills chills and cheap adventure!

OK once again I make much ado about nothing.
Forgive me for the faux fanfare *winks*

However I did find one bona fide bargain!...Well I hope you'll agree......

No sooner had I stepped into my local Value Village, when I spotted this out of the corner of my eye and bee lined for it with the intensity of a bull chasing a matador!
Huddling over my find to protect it from all potential treasure snatchers, I gazed at the price tag....And could NOT believe my eyes!!
I actually happened to have a coupon in the car for an additional 10% off, so I handed this heavy "thing" off to my husband to guard until I came back.  Whilst he was browsing the men's tee shirts one of the sales clerks came by and asked if she could take it up front for him? He said "I'm sorry my wife will divorce me if I let it out of my sight for a second"
I LOVE that man!! Lol!

Isn't it fabulous?.....Alright well maybe not "fabulous" but really cool at least?
It's a Victorian marble top fern/plant stand.
And the price tag read.....$9.99!! This is so NOT like their regular pricing (Which isn't bad, just not this good!) I wonder if it was priced and kind of hidden for an employee to purchase? It was placed between two other larger furniture pieces....... Well I found it first! (Insert evil witch cackle and the rubbing of hands together) *winks*
But wait there's more! Lol! It's almost a match to one I found years ago! What are the chances? Apparently pretty good! You can see they're slightly different in size and the lower finials are a little different too.
.... But when I placed them on each side of my settee they looked pretty good!
I don't think I'll be leaving them like this, but it will work for now until a new home is found.
I also gathered a few more additions to my boudoir ladies collection.
This sweet lady lamp has Rapunzel like hair....
But what makes her really unusual are her chalkware feet. I've never seen one quite like this before.
It's also unusual to find one with a full body like this doll. I'll be looking for the perfect outfit for her.
I love this lady's vampy expression!
And this cutie is glamorous in her mink and pearls even without arms and a chipped nose. *winks*
This frenchy chair was $14.99 at the Goodwill. The upholstery is stained and really yuck. So I finally have something that my husband will let me paint and reupholster!....That man is allergic to painting wood!
Also at the Goodwill was this Italian damask bedspread with golden angels and lots of fringe.
I just love me some cavorting angels!
Lastly this vintage petticoat was a find from a local antique mall for $24. I loved that it's hooped and has vintage pink millinery roses at the bottom.
Aren't they smooshed and sweet?!
I thought it would make a wonderful lampshade. What do you think?
That's all for this week.
I hope you'll come back next week for more flea market finds. I scored some super cool stuff!
I can't wait to share!
Thanks for stopping by.
I hope you'll leave me a comment.
I LOVE to hear from you!
Vanna

Your husband is well trained. Why did the woman want the table back anyways? I found a large heavy French bust last week and thought of you.

OMG....LOVE your post. We have a Value Village in my neighborhood but so far I've NEVER found anything THAT cool! Your Women are great and I adore your new "lampshade". You're husband's a keeper too. Good guarding job. Check out my blog and see what I found at Value Village....cool...but not nearly as cool as YOUR find. :) Happy Fall Ya'll from Houston, TX

If I lived out close to you I would stalk you , just set across the street from your drive way and follow you around on your shopping days LOL

I would just pee all over myself if I found all those items LOL

I am home from work today and cleaning silver
and playing with 2 little bitty finds of my own

Really so happy for you that the vintage goody angels follow you around

Oh my gosh Vanna! All I know is that I need to be shopping at your Value Village! Where do you live anyway?! *winks* You always find the best stuff! Your hubby is quite the man, I cannot take mine with me anywhere or I would not be getting anything! He just says "Is it necessary?" WELL, YES!!!Love that Victorian stand! And for $9.99!!!! I have always wanted one of those things! It really does match your other one, how neat! Gina

Oh the petticoat lampshade! So sweet and what a great idea! I think you'd be proud of my latest decor switcheroos. I've gone back to the lace and delicate colours, though to be honest, I'm a little disappointed in myself that I've let myself take down the Halloween decorations this early. I'm thinking about putting them back up... hee hee! Have you really been venturing into Value Village at this time of year? I won't go near it! It's all Halloween and crazy busy! EEK!

Who says lightening never strikes twice!!! It sure did when you found two wonderful Victorian plant stands and this one for such an outrageously good price!!!

Love the vintage petticoat…but really it doesn’t work as a lampshade cover…unless of course it was at my house!! LOL!! And Wink, Wink!!!!

I’ve been catching up on your treasures today, since I missed the last couple of weeks. I had company one week and had the cold and flu the company left behind last week!!!

Can’t wait to see next week’s treasures!

Ps

I will be out in the PNW Thanksgiving week, we are staying at Long Beach Washington for 7 days!!
I have never stayed there and neither has my daughter & hubby I was hoping for Lincoln City or even still south In Oregon
However this will be all new to all of us.
I may get one shopping day around Portland if my daughters work load is not big the following Monday then Home again Tuesday
( I guess my kids would be upset with me if I rented a car and took off for Seattle's thrift stores??? LOL)

Well, Vanna strikes again. What a deal. It might be mean to say, but your plant stands are likely reproductions. There is a company in St.Louis that is called A and A Import Company and they wholesale antique reproductions. They had pieces like this several years back and they wholesaled for $65.00. So reguardless of the age, what a deal!!!! Richard and Sissy

Vanna, girl, once again, fab finds! I can't believe how similar that table is to the one you already had and the price???? Wowie! Quite a bargain! Your new doll collection members are really sweet. I'd never seen them until your previous post. Guess we don't have any around here. LOVE the damask spread - covort indeed! That is awesome! Yes, the petticoat does make a nice lampshade! Am I forgetting anything? I love all of the goodies you keep finding and look forward to your post each week! Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs, Leena

Vanna, those prices are incredible! That beautiful table for $9.99! I wouldn't have been surprised if they hadn't told you at checkout that the price must have come off of some other item. And that French chair for $15! I've got to come visit you! laurie

That is absolutely insane! Insane good that is. My mouth cannot close. Seriously...only you could find anything like this for such an amazing price. There is such little difference between the two tables. Also, your husband is just the best. Congratulations on the table and the fab hubby!
