Bonjour my beautiful treasure hunting friends!!
It's that time again......
Time for Flea....Market....Finds!!
This last week was quite a coup!
My husband and I set out as usual to hit the thrifts to happily find that our local Goodwill stores were having a paper bag sale, in which anything that would fit into a large paper bag (they provided) was half price! YIPPEE!!
Did y'all have that going on at your local Goodwill stores too?
Well anyway as I was wandering around I spied what looked like a large spelter vase filled with flowers. I sashayed right on over there to grab it before another lady who was rapidly bearing down on it, got to it first. *winks* Just in the nick of time too!
Upon closer inspection (With the other interested lady peering over my shoulder) Don't you just hate when people hover like that?...But I digress... I could see that it wasn't actually metal (spelter) it was some kind of molded plaster stuff? And the price tag read $49.99. Pretty expensive I thought, but at half off... maybe not too bad? Now this arrangement is large (about 3' tall and 3' wide) and I'm carrying it around looking for a cart (to get away from now annoying hovering lady) and calling out for my husband with flowers going up my nose and in my mouth...... And there was NO way it was going to fit into a half off bag as it was. So with flowers still in my teeth.... I asked the guy working in the furniture department if I could dis assemble it to try and fit it in the bag? He said "no problem, don't worry about it. They'll give you the half off up front just tell them Mike told you so"
Well God Bless Mike!! I was happy dancing my little heart out!
Yes it does pay to be a regular *winks*
So after finally finding a cart, and shopping for a while (whilst fiercely guarding my half off treasures against all marauders) we get to the checkout and the sales clerk says looking at the $49.99.."Hmmm this can't be right....I think they mismarked it....It should be $4.99" My husband and I just looked at each other in disbelief.... Ummmm REALLY??!!...We just said "oh that sounds great"
So this fabulous huge silk floral arrangement cost me $2.50...Yes that's right two dollars and fifty cents!
That's less than I'd paid for coffee not 30 minutes earlier!
I do believe it's the best find for $2.50 I've ever scored!
So here's the arrangement I'm making all this noise about. I know many of you hate faux flowers, but come on for $2.50?
I'm sharing my French boucher/patisserie table again. I think it will become one of my favorite props *winks*
Close up on one of the handles.
Golden details.
After leaving the Goodwill we headed over to the local Value Village where I spotted this HUGE crown bed corona. I couldn't believe when I saw the price tag of $6.99! And it came with curtain tiebacks too! Ya hooey!!
(Yes Jennifer really $6.99 *winks*)
Do you see the cement face in the center? It came from a favorite antique store for $25.
She's also turning out to be a favorite "thing" and seems to look great wherever I place her.
Playing around with a little bling!
This goddess plaque was $2 at the Goodwill sale.I'm thinking about trying Rosemary's stone paint technique HERE. What do you think? I'm not that crazy about the color...however I'm also kinda lazy and DIY impaired lol!
This vintage silver English biscuit server was $7.99 at the VV.
It opens to three tiered serving dishes.
This little antique bisque trinket box was only $1.
It's quite beautifully detailed. My picture isn't doing it justice....I really need to READ my camera manual on macro settings, but the thing scares the poop outta me! Lol! It looks to be about 1000 pages! *winks*
And finally this aubusson pillow came from etsy for $18. They're so hard to find around here (and so expensive if you do) I was thrilled to spot one for a price I could afford.
I've been trying it out on some different chairs sofas etc. So far I'm lovin' it!
Needless to say I have plenty to share next week for Flea Market Finds *winks* And I hope you'll come back for another visit.
Please leave me a comment and I'll leave you one too.
I LOVE to hear from you!

I love the aubusson pillow, too. I've been looking on ebay at some..but they are pricey...not sure why I didn't think of looking on esty.
I have a new Goodwill opening Friday just a couple of blocks from my house!!! I'm thinking of calling in sick Friday so I don't miss the opening..LOL!!
Another great week, can't wait to see what you have to share with us next week.
Michele
S C O R E ! On every account! You won't find those at 'my' Goodwill...
Vanna, I am DYIIIING! The bed crown, OMG! I can NOT believe that was 7 bucks! Are you for real!? Amazing! I have been meaning to ask you, do you have any Value Village shopping tips? Sometimes when I go, I find amazing stuff, and other types it's nothing but junk from the 80's and 90's. Is there a certain day of the week or time of the day? I would love to hear your suggestions. Anything please! I am sure there are treasures in my local one that I have been missing out on because I go at silly times.
As always, you found amazing things this week! I'm soo jealous :)
Oh Michelle that's a toughie! They always bring in good stuff for the Grand Openings! So if it doesn't affect your job I'd play hookey for sure! And tell me what you find K? *winks* Vanna

Our Goodwill has very little special items to buy. Maybe I'm not going often enough and always hitting it at a bad time..and so many of our antique shops are closing. Too sad..your finds are once again pretty darn nice..
~Shirley
WOW - I am so envious. You got terrific items at unbelievable prices. I would drive a whole day to find a place with such great stuff. Congratulations on a job well done.
Vanna, you do find the most unreal treasures. I love them all. Gorgeous. Hugs, Marty
Quite the hunter you are Vanna! Sorry I've been absent so long...was swallowed up by FB. Things going well. Love your boucher/patisserie table and that large crown! Wow! Many hugs and blessings!
Trino
You did get some great deals! I don't know where all the good stuff is donated around here, but it sure is not places like GW.
Oh, Vanna! I just can't believe your wonderful finds! We NEVER have anything nearly so nice or frenchy here! I need to fly out there just to go GW hunting! Love it ALL...especially that table! Have a great weekend!...hugs...Debbie

I'm loving that biscuit server - how clever it is!!! Sally
Good morning *winks* girl I waited all last friday for you to call even took the phone to the bathroom with me as to not miss it ha ha!!
Now the flowers pot and arrangement I can't not believe the price you got it for..Maybe I was the old lady hovering behind you ha ha!!
We do not have a VV here and our Goodwill is 65 miles away and it smells like old dirty clothes when you walk in..Did you know Goodwill has an auction site to bid on things..Look it up they get some great stuff..kinda like eBay without the high price..
Now don't full over with a heart attack girl..but Len got my bathroom done..I have been busy now doing the fun part..decorating got my Icarts hung yesterday..Just so dang hard to take pics in there..I have been up on the toilet even in the shower trying ha ha!!
Girl I need to shop with you and hunky man for the weekend..of course all you'll hear from me "is that your best price"
We are going to second Sunday swap meet this week..Maybe I'll find something I can't live without to stuff under my bed, couch, drapes to add to my collection of stuff I can't live without..girl I could open an antique shop just what under my couch ha ha!!

Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
I love fake flowers! As long as they aren't too fake! Great finds- as always. I wish we were neighbors!
Wow- you find the most amazing things! You have a really good eye. I absolutely adore the french table. It's so wonderful... We used to sell them at Sparrows Antiques were I worked for several years (they are now retired). I would LOVE to find one in my price range.
I will definitely share my Etsy purchase once it arrives... It's a Kathy Barrick necklace:)
Wow! That is an incredible deal!!! :) The vase looks beautiful with your table!
Jennelise
Woman, I don't know how much more I can take....first of all our Goodwill Bites! No 1/2 off days...no get it all in a bag for 1/2 off...doesn't happen down here in the deep south...nadda, nope, no way! NOT FAIR! Secondly, I LOVE the floral arrangement and the vase thingy it is in....so unreal that you paid $2.50...I definitely need me a MIKE down here...thirdly, the cement face....Seriously! I WANT her! Also, (cos' I don't know if fourthly is a word) that pillow....oh how I COVET that pillow! I am not so lucky! Though I did do a u-turn in the street in front of my office today to double back to a yard sale I saw wherein a lovely chippy old rusty radio flyer wagon was in the front yard. Managed to get it for $15.00....I do feel that you would have been able to score it for free....I need to take some lessons!
Also love the table you used as your "prop"...I so need that!
Lou Cinda ;)
Oh yeah, we got NO VALUE VILLAGE EITHER!!!
What is UP with that??
Lou Cinda
Hi Vanna! What fabulous finds! It always amazes me that people get rid of such wonderful items - and aren't we glad that they do? I think that your plaque will look great using Rosemary's technique! That bisquit server is so unusual! Glad you beat the hovering woman to that stunning vase! I think that the floral arragements is beautiful but even without, the vase is fantastic! What a great thrifting day! Hugs, Leena
I'm just plain oh jealous(really)
I love it all however that abussion pilow I want it
I guess I can say I love it all, and say, oh to live by a great Goodwill store would be so nice

Well so am I! Just plain jealous that is! Thank you for sharing at Potpourri Friday! Your participation is apppreciated!
What can I say? I need to hover around you when you're shopping! Love all your goodies and especially the thrifty prices.
Wow--what great finds you found! I have heard of the paper bag goodwill sale but we never have those around here. I am not a fake flower lover but that arrangement is beautiful--If you found that at Michaels or something it would be $100 at least!
I declare girl....you make me want to head straight for Goodwill....which I think I will do tomorrow! Love it all especially that pretty pillow. I have a fake French table like yours. (very fake...but I love it and use it for a wine table) ha! x0
OMGoodness what wonderful treasures you bought home with you! They're all gorgeous!!!

The pillow looks like it was made to be on that chair. FAA as always. I do so love that face. She would look good anywhere.
I cannot believe your luck in finding such lovely items, Vanna. That French table is still my favorite. The vase and flowers look good on it...Christine
Oh, Vanna, what a great story about the vase. You lucky girl. I agree with you....the patisserie table would become one of my favorite props, too! xo, Kim
Fabulous finds as usual! I don't know which is my favorite, but I'm coveting that bed crown. The pillow is gorgeous and so perfect with that chair.

You have some amazing finds! I love the Aubusson pillow. It's so pretty.
Love the arrangement! It looks great on your new table! And for $2.50?! That is a funny story. You do a super job with arranging and displaying your pretties for the photos! I nominate you to be the next Victorian Homes photographer! Come visit me on my blog! :)

Wow! You hit the lottery with your finds this week! I am your newest follower~hope you will return the visit! Angie
$2.50?...really?
Only you could find all of these beautiful things for these prices!! You are Flea Market Find Queen for sure - put one of those crowns on your lovely head! You've earned it!
Have a great weekend.
Rhonda
Vanna, I am jealous of that flower arrangement and that price. I never read my camera instructions-they are on disc and seem to be in some odd form of technical English anyhoo-why bother? hugs, olive
As always what 'scores'! No, alas, we don't have the brown bag 1/2 off thing at our Goodwill Stores... but they do have a Dollar Day for certain color tags in an attempt to purge what hasn't moved. My best 'score' was a Vintage Typewriter with original Manual and Case for $2. And I just got an Atlas Vintage Pink Sewing Machine that looks awesome and was marked 50% off at the Salvation Army Thrift so it was $22.50, it is as heavy as a boat anchor and looks way cool!
Just got my 1st check from my Booth and almost fell over... just a few days worth of selling and it was a BIG CHECK! *whoo freakin' hooo!* I realize there will be ups and downs in Sales, but I'm jazzed that its already exceeded all of my expectations and I'm having such Fun in the Process!

That table is exquisite. How luck you are!
Beautiful!
... lovely flea market finds :)
Greetings from Australia♥
Everything is beautiful.
the crown is my dream ..
Yours Viola..
Vanna - "Ditto" to all the wonderful honest comments. You are fantastic at shopping. Amazing as I go to the same stores and cannot find what you find. I know that all your treasures have found a safe haven. Since you have shared your personal space with us bloggers, I am wondering what your kitchen is like. Can you consider a tour of your kitchen? Debby in Tacoma
Hi Debby!
I haven't shared my kitchen because it's really not picture worthy. Not that the rest of my house is much better... *winks*...but the other rooms I've shared look better to me than my kitchen. One day soon *fingers crossed* I'll be getting a new range and then I'll share some kitchen pix. Vanna
Stunning finds. Love the three tiered serving dish. I would like to invite you to enter my Giveaway. I am celebrating my blog's third birthday. See you there :-)
Vanna, Another week of wonderful finds! I am always amazed at the fabulous things you find at thrift stores. This week did not disappoint. Hugs, Sherry
Wow you got some beautiful things. I wish the staff at my local Goodwill was as nice as yours. Yes I hate it when people invade your personnel space and breath down your neck!
Vanna thanks for stopping by my Good-Bye Post... yes, I will miss my Sister and her Family so much, we are like Twins from different Mothers. I agree... why do the good ones always have to go... eventually... there is only one of my "Forever" Friends still left in Arizona in fact... over the years everyone has had to move away and it is always so difficult to say Good-Bye to Friends you've had for so many years... I'm at that Season of Life now where I will never likely live long enough to know anyone I make Friends with now that long and share such a vast amount of History with.
Blessings from the Arizona Desert... Dawn... The Bohemian
Soo jealous of your amazing finds- and I LOVE that table!!! *sigh* Thanks for linking up at FNF!! :)
Lovely finds last week, Vanna! I've been so busy and have truly missed your flea market finds! xoxo, Janice
