Bonjour mes amis!
I thought I would take a little break from the regular Flea Market posts this week and share one of my little cabinets-o-stuff with you.
Really it's just another Flea Market Finds, but with stuff I've had a lot longer *winks*
AND I have another GIVEAWAY for this week so keep reading! One more week to go!

AND I have another GIVEAWAY for this week so keep reading! One more week to go!
But first let me share the WINNER of last weeks little blanc de chine heart....It's......
CYNTHIA!!!
(Cynthia please email me with your mailing address OK?)
Moving on to my little cabinet.
It's choc a block full of little this-n-thats. I'd love to share a few of my favorites with you. And I'd love your opinion on a few of them too *winks*
Warning if an abundance ofcrap stuff makes you crazy?
This is NOT the post for you!
There is no rhyme or reason to how anything is placed in this cupboard, I pretty much shove things around until I can sneak in one more piece......Yes hoarders cabinet...quelle surprise lol!

This is NOT the post for you!
There is no rhyme or reason to how anything is placed in this cupboard, I pretty much shove things around until I can sneak in one more piece......Yes hoarders cabinet...quelle surprise lol!
This is the top shelf full of many things I've already shared and more I haven't.
The second shelf
The third.....Remember my blue opaline urns? They're hiding out in here.
And the bottom which isn't visible through glass.
This little nude is one of my favorite pieces. She's 18th century German by the Hochst factory. I found her at an auction and paid $75 (Which was a lot for me at the time) because I loved her so much! I found her HERE on Ruby Lane for $1750! So I guess she was a pretty good deal after all! She's dated 1771. Isn't she cool?
And this Victorian brass and mother of pearl dinner bell is another one of my favorite thrifty finds.
This is my favorite perfume bottle by the Apollo company from somewhere around 1912 -1920. It was part of an auction lot that I paid $25 for. I've been looking for years for another without any luck...but I adore the hunt! Don't you? And the perfume still smells pretty good too! *winks*
This little art deco flower frog was a thrift store find, as are most of the items in here.
I don't know what this little silver cherub mount/applique was originally used on? But it's another love thang It's so detailed for something so small!
I also love this miniature painting on ivory that I purchased from an art dealer friend. Sorry the photo isn't very good, it's so hard to get a good shot through the glass, but again it's very detailed for such a cute little thing.
I also love to collect antique tortoise shell items. This calling card case with an inlaid bird (in ivory or bone) and mother of pearl is Victorian. I found it at an antique store for $25.
The interior.
I also love this little Victorian mourning brooch. It came with a note stating that it's the hair of Edmund Brown 1772-1859 and Mabel Norton Brown 1775-1840. Grandparents of Dr Plumb Brown. Why would a family member have given it up? Too creepy maybe?
Another thing I love to collect are antique perfume caddys. This blue purse shaped Victorian velvet one is shown closed.......
And open.
And a slightly newer celluloid single bottle case closed....
And open.
I also pick up these vintage ornate metal perfume bottles whenever I can find them for less that $30...Which is getting to be very difficult. But again the hunt is most of the fun! *winks*
They have cool little things hidden inside. This one features a lady bust....And you know how I feel about those! Lol!
I found this set of antique French pump perfume bottles at an estate sale for $10.
Do you see where the brass is scraped? That's where the bottle moves when you pump (by pushing down on) the bottle. Have you seen others like this?
And this french bottle has painted flowers found for $4 at the thrift. You unscrew the little piece you see on the side and then the top depresses to activate the pump to spray the perfume. I don't really know exactly what time frame this is from? I'd guess the 20's or 30's? But it's only a guess. If you happen to know please share OK?
I also wanted to share this pretty little vanity tray with etched flowers and ribbon detailed handles. Hard to see I know....Sorry.
And lastly in the background of the top shelf is this reproduction painting of the coronation of empress Josephine....It's something of a mystery....
Napoleon
And Josephine....
Lots of people watching....The two holding the train are Napoleon's sisters, who if I remember correctly did not like Josephine in the least as she made them feel awkward and unsophisticated. Way to go Jo! They seem to be behaving themselves here.*winks*
Napoleon's mother who wasn't actually at the coronation (Due to a quarrel between Napoleon and his brother) but was painted in as a guest of honor, as was his brother...... Boys!
Doesn't the man next to the cardinal below resemble Jesus? Hmmmmmm.
And here is a close up of the original painting found in the Louvre Titled " Consecration of the Emperor Napoleon 1 and Coronation of the Empress Josephine in the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Paris on 2 December 1804. By the artist Jaques-Louis David. The painting is quite large at about 33'x20' tall. My little painting measures 11"x10". And the mystery of my painting is that it's painted over another much older painting which can be seen under a few small areas of flaking paint. Hmmm I know it isn't uncommon for painters to reuse canvases but I'm so curious as to what's underneath? Perhaps a hidden old master? Yeah more likely NOT. But I can dream right? Little mysteries make life more fun *winks*
So those are a few of the things I love to hoard collect. What kind of things do you collect? Are you a highly organized neat collector? Or perhaps a bit of a mess like me about it? I'd love to know...So I don't feel alone lol!
OK on to this weeks followers giveaway. I'm offering this Cath Kidston style wallet. It's brand spanking new and in the most charming blue red and pink rose print. So leave me a comment telling me you would like it to be yours.....Or just leave me a comment anyway! I LOVE hearing from you!

Okay, I'm in gorgeous overload here. FAA, dear Vanna. LUV that mini painting, and drooling over everything in your cabinet.
It is a cabinet full of love. I might be here all night. No really. I gave my house and shop key to the dog walker so he could have copies made and he never came back. Hope the house is still there and the stuff too. So, If I have yo stay all nigh at the shop I will just study the STUFF in this here cabinet. I love the shell bell, had one, sold it, been sad ever since. Love the opaline blue, had some, sold it, kept 3 pieces, hate me for selling them. Also love your nude, she is a dear. How could anyone not love it all. it is my favorite kind of things. Expensive little treasures that really don't do nothing but make us happy. Richard from My Old Historic House.
Wow!! What an incredible treasure trove! So many beautiful things! That is a lovely wallet too :)

I love the coronation picture. I remember standing & staring at the one at the Louvre for the longest time. I had just been to Versailles where I think there is one similar. Just looking at all of the details was intoxicating. How special for you to have one in your house to look at every day!!! Sally
I love the perfume bottles. I am excited that I sold an old one today-you would have loved it. I have started collected perfume bottle stoppers for some odd reason they find me. Now I have three busts so that is a collection you most definitely have an affinity for my winky friend (I almost typed fiend). Hugs, Olive
Vanna, You have the most beautiful and unique items! I love every single thing, including your gorgeous cabinet. The ivory painting, the nude, perfume bottles...every single thing is fabulous! I would love to go shopping in here. Thanks for sharing your beauties at the Open House party.

Your treasures are all so unique! Your collections are all so beautiful! Thank you for sharing your treasures at Potpourri Friday!
Vanna,
I'm in heaven!!! Oh, I knew from the beginning that we were kindred spirits! Yes, I (hoard)collect lots of stuff!! And I just love it all, so this looks like a dream to me. I could spend the day just admiring it all.
But, that nude and that dinner bell ... be still my foolish heart!!! Amazing!
Love it all and thanks for linking your treasures.
Hugs,
Patti
I love cabinets of curiosities- They make me just want to look and snoop. Thanks for taking us on a little tour of your wunderkammer (google that one!).
My favorite is the Victorian dinner bell. Is it French? It sorta reminds me of the wedding things they made.
I also like all the perfumes. I just bought a collection of bottles. I need to buy a guide book to know how to price them.
You have a fabulous collection!
And that cabinet is just so grand!
I collect a wee bit of everything. The things I seem to hold onto are:
1. Paintings, particularly portraits of women/children pre 1940.
2. Books on interior decoration- new ones. My newest obsession is Essentially French by Josephine Ryan.
3. Small things that can fit in my table top store cabinet. Right now my favorite miniatures are a porcelain dog, a French shrine, a goat pulling a pin cushion, and antique pierrot photographs...
Anyways, LOVE all your finds. You have a very refined eye!
Oh this is a Cabinet of Wonderful Treasures...you really have some beautiful goodies! I'd love to enter your giveaway!
Stunninglhy beautiful cabinet and gorgeous treasures inside! I love it all! Quite a fascinating variety! Thanks for sharing! Hugs, Leena
What beautiful things you have. Would you ever put that painting of Josephine's coronation in your Etsy shop? It is very highly detailed and beautiful! I love unusual things and that wallet is quite so. I would love to own it!
Love, love, love your ivory frame on the picture and tortoiseshell, I collect it too and can’t get enough! Funny I collect mourning jewelry too and the ones with white hair are the most expensive ones. I don’t collect perfume bottles but love your metal ones they’re so pretty. That piece of artwork of Napoleon is wonderful mainly because of the laurel wreath around his head and look at his clothing, the fringe and tassels hanging from it, yeah like you didn’t know I wouldn’t notice that! Lots of people watching N&J it was either that it be poisoned something Josephine had a tendency to do…lol. Vanna who cares if anyone thinks your cabinet is cluttered thee most important thing is that you love everything treasure you’ve collected and from the looks of it you’ve collected some very nice items!
Happy Friday!

Vanna, Your very French cabinet is gorgeous and of course I would expect no less than FABULOUS inside.
I love your collection of perfume bottles and lovely containers. My favorite piece is the silver cherub cart and lions. I have a thing for cherubs and this is one of the sweetest I've seen. Great collections Vanna, thanks for sharing them.

I love your collections! I wish I could get away with something so girly, but my 5 boys and one husband out vote me every time. Please consider me for your give away- I can keep flowers in my handbag!
Again, your collections leave me breathless! Love, love, love those perfume bottles! And the painting is gorgeous. Such detail! You know, if you are curious as to what might be the painting below it, I do believe that you might be able to take it to a museum to have it x-rayed. I know that at the Cleveland, they are able to do this. And I WON! WOW! I am so very excited, Vanna. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Where do I start? The cabinet first my heart went piter pater when I saw it, gorgeous! I am blown away by your finds. The perfume bottles are so pretty and I love the perfume cases too. The painting at the end and all in between. What a treat to view!! Hugs, Pearl Happy Hunting!
Love the antique perfume caddy (the blue one)......would love to win the floral wallet too. What a good looking print! Have a great weekend! Lynn
There is sure lots of treasures out in the north west, there must have been very rich people live on that coast line at some time, sure around Seattle. I never find perfume bottle that ornate, love them.

You have such lovelies in your cabinet! I love all of your decor.
I collect on a much smaller scale. I like to collect tea cups, tea pots and tea related items.
Thanks for the chance to win your giveaway!
Vanna,
I am speechless!! And that does not happen too often!!
What outstandingly beautiful goodies you have shared with us today...
I had to go back several times to drink in all of this beauty....
Hugs,
Debbie
Oh golly Vanna I am such a collector it's ridiculous. I love to have amazing things scattered about. It's the loveliest sort of decor if you ask me. Always something interesting to look at. Nope, I don't particularly care for minimalism whatsoever. It's boring. When people ask me why I fill my space with all of these silly or impractical things, my answer is always "How can you NOT have these things around you!?" And of course I'd love to be entered in this weeks giveaway. You have been so very generous. Thank you for offering up all of these lovely pieces! I think those paintings are amazing by the way. Your reproduction is really really good! Who is the artist, do you know?
I love all your pretty treasures! I just received a Cath Kidson bag for my bad two weeks ago! Would love the wallet!
oooops....I meant "received for my bda (birthday)".
Boy,,you have beautiful things. I love your perfume bottles. You really have unique items. Thanks for sharing.
Yes, one can have too much junk. However, if they have junk like YOU, one can never have enough! It is always so fun to have a peek into your treasures!
No, I never saw the upstairs apartments at Linda's. You have to wonder if they had any beautiful details or if they were rather plain since they were originally used for Doctors offices. I guess Linda had just finished remodeling her own personal apartment, she was living downstairs in the back of the shop for a while. So sad for her.
Oh, my!! What an education I've gotten today. I've never even heard of some of the things you've shown here, but many of them are so unique and interesting. Thank you for sharing your finds, such fun you must have in the hunt :-)
The Cath Kidston wallet is so cute!! I think I'm due for a new one after seeing it~LOL!
I am constantly amazaed at the beauties you acquire and collect! So unusual and gorgeous! What a curio full of delight!
