Flea Market Finds Pour La Semaine Quanante-Six And A GIVEAWAY

Bonjour my friends!!
I'm so happy you stopped by for another week of Flea Market Finds!
This is a very special one for me because I found what has been a dream piece of mine for many many years....

But first let me start by announcing the winner of last weeks followers giveaway...It's.....
Danielle of Blessed Serendipity!! Yay!!

Danielle please email me with your shipping addy.

And this week is my last for my followers giveaways. My little way to say "THANK YOU" to all my followers for helping me reach 400+ friends!
I can't tell you how much each and every one of you means to me!

In order to win this (my last) pressie you must BE a follower *winks* So if you aren't already, please join my followers list, and I'll be happy to follow you back too!

Please keep reading and you'll see what I've got saved for ya OK? *winks* I think this one is pretty good...just sayin'

Anyway the "dream piece" I'm all excited to share has been on my list of "wants" for what feels like forevah!

I've been going by a local antique mall and admiring it for over a year hoping the dealer would have a BIG sale. Alas they never did. Well... this last week I dropped by again to say hello and gently fondle *winks* the "dream piece" and the seller happened to be there. I told him how much I admired it and asked him if he could do any better on the price? He came down $50 (I wanted to cry) It wasn't nearly a big enough discount for my wallet. Then he started to tell me about its history...How he'd purchased it back in 1970 for what he was currently asking... How it had a double thick marble top that didn't slide....And telling me that as he'd housed it for 40+ yrs he'd like to at least break even.. etc etc....I told him I thought it was actually not too bad a price because I'd seen other sellers ask thousands, I just wasn't able to go that high. So he told me if I really wanted it and I was willing to buy it today, he'd take off $400... Seriously from $50 to $400?..... I still wanted to cry, but now tears of joy!

What is all this emotion about? (You might be asking)
And also "when is she gonna show the %($@ picture already!"

Well here IT is!
It's a 19th century French patisserie table!
Now mine mine mine!
I'm happy dancing like nobodys business!!

I've been trying for days to take a pretty picture of it in some great light to do it justice, but it's been nothing but gloom and doom for the last two, so I'm going ahead and embracing the darkness *winks*
Isn't it fabulous!?
Do you see the frenchy beverage dispenser? That was a $19.99 find at the Value Village and the etched glasses were Goodwill finds for $2.99 each (I found 11)
The silver tray was one of last weeks finds.
At this point I was thinking my week......Actually my year... couldn't get any better! When I spotted these two cuties at a local junk/antique store. I instantly fell in love with them although they were pretty costy and more than a little chipped and damaged.
I was told by the seller that they're early 19th century Vieux Paris porcelain? Seems about right to me...Maybe one of my experts could verify? (That's you Richard *winks*)

I just love her sweet face!

And her basket of chippy roses.

The gentleman is supposed to be a gardener, but his shovel is gone, as is the handle and spout to his watering can.....

And his head was badly glued on at one time. However for almost 200 yrs old they're looking pretty good don'tcha think? Just check out those dandy trousers *winks*

I scored a couple of cool frenchy grainsack style pillows from WUSLU. They're nice and large and were very reasonably priced. This was my second purchase there and I've been quite pleased. Have any of you purchased from them?..I like that shipping is always only $5...Oh and that I could order from the comfort of home in my jammies *winks*

Unfortunately these ones are sold out, but they do relist items from time to time when stock allows.

And for my final giveaway (At least till I reach 500 friends *winks*) I'm offering this Rosenthal Versace Medusa wine stopper. New in box.
Just leave me a comment telling me you would like it to be yours.

It's burnt orange in color if you can't tell.

Even if you're not interested in the giveaway I'd still love to hear from YOU!

What would be a dream piece for you? And are you still doing the Happy Dance after finding one?
(I still am!)
I'd love to hear all about it!

Vanna

The wine stopper would be a great gift for my hubby! Thanks for a great chance. Your finds are just so fabulous. My dream find would be a great work table. I love the old tin and wood. But I think most of all I would want a clockmakers bench and cabinets as my grandfather had a shop and I have great memories. Di@cottage-wishes

Love the pillows too you really have a wonderful home. As for the wine stopper it would be wasted on us I'm afraid since we always drink the whole bottle of wine..why waste?

Your 19th century couple , well I love their clothing and they are so elegant. I would use them on my shabby chic kitchen table

and I just can't believe what all you find at that store Value Village

I have been holding back shopping because my house is so full but you have put the fire back in me so on my lunch break I am hitting a local resale shop LOL

throw my name in the drawing and I am a follower and dreamer of yours already

Oh my gosh Vanna! Gorgeous table! I don't want to even know what the original price was, YEESH! Don't enter me for this week's giveaway, I want it to go to someone who actually drinks wine. I wouldn't have a purpose for it. It's beautiful though. And thanks for the pinterest posts! I never thanked you properly for all of that. I looked at it and was thrilled that so many people liked my little studio. And oh my goodness, I hope I never go to Japan and get accused of being in the mafia! That would be terrible. I don't even know how I would GET in the Japanese mafia as I am just a little Irish Canadian girl haha! But that's a really bad stigma :( I'm sorry you can't get them! They're really popular nowadays in Western culture.

Oh my goodness you never cease to amaze me. YOu have the best finds. Those two are simply gorgeous. I just love the expressions on their faces.

I love all things Versace. Visiting the Versace mansion is an annual, and some times bi-annual, event. The wine stopper would be the perfect addition to my collection. I would cherish it forever simply because it came from you.

Ms. Vanna, your table is the bomb. Sounds like your patients paid off. I have always loved them. Where I have had many and always sold them, I would still love to have one. The candle holders are Old Paris and the are divine. I think they would look better in my house, so if you ever come to visit, they would make a nice hostess gift. You have passed me with followers, I now have a slight few over 300.I have been blogging just over i year. AS usual your finds make we swoone, if that is a word. Have a great day, admiring your new table. Lucky, lucky duck! Richard from My old Historic House.

Sweet Vanna, you have blown me over the top with this post. You have on your wish list a piece I've had on mine forever! AND you talked the man right out of his shoes to discount it, how do you do it? I mean find the real deal and make the deals! Really? Well it is beautiful and and the goodwill finds are fabulous too. I just can't get over that French Patisserie….Lovely porcelain pair find. Well maybe I'll win the Versache wine stopper. Would it help if I told you my husband broke the only piece of Versace I had? It was a beautiful candy dish with a little chip. Oh well, I want to tag along with you on a shopping trip. I think you've had a great week!

LOL,

Vanna, your table is wonderful!! I'm doing a happy dance for you! I also got one of my dream pieces this week. I've been looking for three years for an oak halltree with a mirror and seat with storage. I saw one on Craigslist the Monday I was leaving town and figured with the low price it would be gone before I got home. But to my surprise it was still listed on Friday. Saturday bright and early I drove 57 miles to get it!! I just love how it looks in my entry hall!

I love the beautiful candleholder too! Great finds again this week!!

Wow! I love the lamps/candelabras. The figures are beautiful, such detail! Congratulations on your dream find. Sounds like the dealer knew you were destined to have that sweet table and that you would give it the perfect home. I've never had that kind of luck, but I'm happy when someone has true fortune happen to them.

I'm drooling over your French patisserie table! I actually bought 2 of them in France and the dealer there called them boucher tables for the butcher to use to display his wares. The good news/bad news is I sold them both. I sure wish I'd kept one! Don't ever let yours go!
