Bonjour bonjour!!
Welcome again to FLEA MARKET FINDS!!
How are y'all doing? Is the weather nice in your part of the world? Because I'm ready to run away from mine!
Sorry I'm late with my post this week.
Here in the Pacific Northwest we've been having lots of wind storms so our power has been off and on for a couple of days. Enough to drive me out of my ever lovin' mind!....So what else could I do?....I shopped in areas that still had power..... that's what! *winks*
This week I have a couple of fabulous finds from my favorite (go to) shopping place...CRAIGSLIST!!
Apologizing again, this time about the pictures being so dark......I really wanted to show off my new beauty in all her sparkly warkly glory! But it was not to be..... Also showcased along with my beautiful new sparkly "IT" thing (You know the feeling when you've got to have "IT" *winks*).... is another "IT" thing found on craigslist that I'd searched a very long time for.
So without further ado here is my favorite find for the week.
A turn of the century french crystal chandelier. Dripping with big faceted juicy crystals! It was a little spendy at $340 but worth every penny! It's a quintessential "me" piece that I'll keep and love forever.
Along with my chandy, I also found this oh so wonderful vintage barkcloth carpet on craigslist from my new friend, (and I hope soon to be new blogger) Alma.
I had actually visited Alma on a previous occasion to check out another item she was selling, but decided to pass on. So what a wonderful surprise to find her again!
Alma has some of the most beautiful "shabby chic" items I've ever seen! So I hope she'll be joining me on my sidebar with her new blog. Trust me you will be drooling!
Anyway here's my new (to me) carpet along with my chandelier.
Ages ago I spotted this fabulous rug and bedroom in an issue of Romantic Homes magazine, then I spotted it again on ebay belonging to the seller "Nouveau Rose" I've been obsessed ever since with finding a rug like it (that I could actually afford) so I was thrilled to pieces to find another one as they're soooo hard to come by!
This one belonging to Nouveau Rose is swoon worthy don't you think? As is her whole beautiful house!
My base color is more tan, but don't they have a similar look? Perhaps it's just my wishful thinking *winks*
Here's a shot with my pomeranian Juju bear hiding under the french wing chair. Which by the way was a $25 auction find *winks*....The chair not Juju lol!
Then making my regular rounds at the local Value Village I had a slam dunk day!
I don't know if all the snow and wind kept people away? Whatever the case there was more treasure than usual *winks*
Starting with this cool necklace that looks like it's covered in vintage brooches for $9.99
Close up.
And also in the $9.99 pile was this pale blue rhinestone tiara with a heart perfect for Valentines day!
This little concrete painted cherub was $1.99. He has crazy eyes that I need to repaint (Which could be quite a challenge as I can't paint worth a darn!) It's very likely he'll look even crazier than before, but I'm gonna give it a try! Any pointers from my talented painter friends would be much appreciated!
This sweet Madonna trinket holder is for my etsy store.
And this large barbola style swag was also $1.99. I'm sure I can find a spot for this *winks*
Then I received a special something in the mail from one of my favorite etsy sellers the sweet Cindy of edithandevelyn
This darling large bisque girl was $40 with shipping
and I love her!
Even the wrapping was special. I didn't want to open
it up and spoil it!
Just look at that peacock feather ribbon! Isn't it fab?!
She's as lovely as can be with such a winsome smile.
No markings to be found.....
but I couldn't resist that adorable face. And if you read my blog you know how "bust" addicted I am! Lol!
Well that's all for this week.
I hope you'll come back next week for a fabulous giveaway!!
I just saw that I've reached 400 followers!
That's plum amazing! And calls for a special celebration! I'm so thankful for each and every one of you!
So please stop by!
And I'd love if you left me a comment and I'll do the same. *winks*
I just LOVE hearing from you!

What a fabulous necklace!! Definite score there. Fun finds. Enjoy.
Love the chandelier for sure the rug was a great find well really all your finds are great.
I would wear the bling necklace and the tiara would go right in my collection of tiara's
We do not get bargains like you do in my neck of the woods! Great finds/
I do like that chandelier! You got a great deal on the chair and necklace. I thought about going to a thrift store yesterday as they start marking jewelry down on Thursday, but have not had any luck the last several times I went and the weather was iffy anyway.
Enjoy your evening.
I'm drooling over the chandie. Love that swag too, and the table with the floral, and......Well, you get the picture. FAA
Wow, what finds with all that bad weather. Vanna you are a trooper! Love the chandy dripping with crystals and it looks beautiful in the room with the new rug. The colors are gorgeous. I think it is very similar to the one you first fell in love with. The necklace is so lovely, and the heart tiara perfect for Valentine's Day. Your new girl is so romantic and If I had found her first I would have though of you. I think you had a great week, even if it was storming! Tell Juju to come out from under the chair next time she has her photograph made.

Vanna, your new chandy is stunning! However, I have to say the carpet is absolutely hideous...please, immediately pack it up and send it to me. I promise to um...oh, I know! I'll dispose of for you so you don't have to look at its hideousness. See what a great friend I am???
I've missed your flea market bargains during the month I was gone. What wonderful treasures you found this time! That chandy is absolutely gorgeous! You certainly have an eye for beautiful pieces.

ps didn't you have other drapes in your LR or am I thinking of your family room with the plaid ones??
I swear you find the best stuff!! The rug, is it really bark cloth? It reminds me of the rug that was in my two, spinster lady, great aunts' house. I wanted it, but... It's a long story. Anyway, their rug was wool.
So is your Etsy store open yet? I haven't got to read blogs in a month or so. I'll scroll on down and see what else you've had to say.
The chandy is fabulous, Vanna! Love the necklace too. Another week of wonderful finds and I appreciate you sharing them at my party this week. xoxo, Sherry
The chandy is wonderful Vanna and I love you bisque lady she isn't freaking me out *winks*. We're having a world wind weather day today so I'm not leaving my house. I hope you're back to normal.

Vanna you never cease to amaze me!! I want to move to your state! You find the best deals. I love your new rug! Can you give me a link to your etsy store? Keep up the great shopping!
Laura
All your finds are fabulous but I especially love the chandelier :-)

Thank you so much for your lovely words about our shop Edith & Evelyn! So glad you love the "frenchy" bust! I love your blog and can't wait to see what treasures you find! The thrill of the hunt is quite addictive! And that chandelier...*sigh*....love!!
Cindy
WOW! What an incredible piece that chandelier is! I understand the need to buy even if it's a little more than you would usually spend. Believe me, I understand! It is just too gorgeous to pass up. And to be quite honest, those two carpets look remarkably similar to me. So no, it is not just wishful thinking on your part. It's the truth! As for your sweet little cherub, if possible I would suggest buying a paint the same colour as the stone he is and paint right over the eyes. I don't think the white and blue looks right, it would look much better with just beige. But that's just my opinion. Lovely items once again, that necklace is divine. Hope life's been lovely, despite the weather.
Lots of love,
Jenn
Ms. Vanna. Your new chandelier is divine and as usual a very good deal. I have one very simular in my library. I also bought it in a barn shop for a good deal. I think your little lady bust is Royal Dux, around 1900. I have one with a simular hat and color and it is marked. I have had her for ever. Her head was broke off, I glued and glued pearls to hide the seem. Best I could do. I think you did good while the light s were out. Thanks for sharing. Take care of that sweet pea under the chair. I send Sissy Kisses and love. Richard from My Old Historic House.
Gorgeous finds! I'm a chandy lover so will pay the price if it's wonderful.
Mary Alice
nice on the rug Vanna, I know how addicting the rugs can be too..I have changed mine out back in the day just because I saw another that was too pretty to pass up..
Love all your new finds..you have a keen eye and a quick step for sure..
I so love your room with the carpet! And all your finds are wonderful. Your home is exactly the way I want mine, you have an eye women!
Oooh, dear Vanna...so much gorgeousness!! The chandy...wow, I love the rug, the sparklies, and I was laughing out loud at your "crazy eye cherub" comments! You are too much! Enjoy the beauty, sweet friend...
Hoping things will calm down weather-wise for you! Today we had the strangest ice/snow storm that was falling horizontally because of the wind...
Take care, stay warm, and have a fabulous weekend!
xoxo,
- Irina
O MY!! What a stunning chandy !! And if I may say, I LOVE your bust!! LOL!!
I always enjoy seeing your wonderful finds!!
Hugs,
Debbie
Oh Vanna, your room looks gorgeous with your gorgeous new chandy and that beautiful rug! THAT room should be in Romantic Homes. Can't wait to see what you do with that cherub's eyes. I'm sure, if I tried to do something, his eyes would not even look like eyes. Incredible necklace! laurie
Cudowne popiersie . Francuskie krzesło to moje marzenie ,..Pozdrawiam z mroźnej Polski ...
WOW... you are now right up there with Andie as the Queens of Craig's List! *Winks* You Gals find such amazing Treasures there that you might tempt me to begin checking Craig's List out... The Son just got his new 'used' Car from Craig's List and I know there's good deals to be had... just dicey about meeting with Strangers to buy their stuff I guess is what holds me back... too many years working Criminal Law I suppose has me cynical about the safety issue. But I'm hearing so many fab finds thru it that I can't help but be somewhat tempted to perhaps explore it as another Junquing Mecca?! *Winks*

You really lucked up with that beautiful necklace and chandelier!
Oh Vanna I want that carpet- oops - sorry I know I am not supposed to envy!!
My mom had an old Victorian that had this same print in one of the bedrooms.
So pretty!
The chandy is gorgeous, however, u know im drooling over that rug! Great find, i couldnt be more jealous my friend...........sorry ur not having good weather, its sunny and beautiful here in Fl...............Bonnie
Vanna, you always find the best treasures! Love seeing your home too.
Linda
Ahhh... hello hello hello... I knew by the first paragraph that I wanted to become a follower of your blog. So interesting! I hope you will come have a chat with me and follow when you get a chance. Have a fun-filled week... xoso Sandy
Vanna, you've made me weep!!! That is the most gorgeous chandelier ever. All the finds are real treasures and that bust and rug are TDF!Thanks so much for linking it to WIW, we love being able to show off your finds! See you next week.
Big hugs,
Patti
Your chandelier is incredible and looks beautiful with that gorgeous rug...I'd have to say you had an incredible day!!! Love it all!
Hope your weekend was just as wonderful as all the treasures you found!
Sincerely,
Debbie
I'm a chandy junkie and LOVE your new find! The rug you found looks even richer than the one you compared it to... just sayin'! Love EVERYthing you found, can we say AWESOME! Hugs, Sherry
PS you definitely need to get rid of "crazy eyes"... you could just spray paint the entire bust a cream color then take some craft stain from Micheals or Joannes and go over it and wipe off with wet rag to remove the highlight area and leave stain in the creases. Then spray paint with a clear sealer. Voile! An antique looking angel!
Such great treasures, Vanna! The chandy is spectacular! Thank you for sharing your lovely post at Potpourri Friday!
You really got some fantastic finds, Vanna. Is your etsy open yet?...Christine
Your home is gorgeous!
Thanks for stopping by for a visit... if I could talk The Son or The Man into a Craig's List experience I might try it... I think they'd be afraid I'd become addicted to the experience though. *Winks* We'll see... because certainly I see some great stuff everyone gets from the experience.
Yes, that Shop preserved all of the Architectural Details I adored inside that created the ambiance of the previous Shop that Closed. That almost never happens, usually they want to gut it all and make something of their own vision, which isn't always better. *LOL* So I was relieved that the new Owner has utilized everything I adored before and then filled it up with Inventory that blew me away! Yes, sadly, a lot of great Shops & Restaurants around here have closed since the economy spiraled downward too.

Here it is Feb. 1st and I finally made it to see last weeks Flea Market Finds! Everything is so beautiful - my favorite is the bust you purchased on etsy! Sheer lovliness! Thanks so much for sharing :O) Hugs, Janice
