BONJOUR Y'ALL!!
I'm back to my regular FLEA MARKET FINDS!!
I don't have a lot of things to share this week (Christmas and all) but I do have a few goodies for ya. (I hope? *winks*)
Starting as always with my favorites first.
This was my "wow" find this week, a 1950's prom dress in pale blue that's just so darn pretty!
I'd hoped to display it on my painted white dress form but alas the dress was wayyyy too small. It must be what would be considered a size zero today? The waist measures 21"
.....Oh how I miss those days *winks*
Layers of tulle with ruffles along with a shelf bust. Isn't it fab? And all for $32! I think it was a steal! I set it up at the front counter to do some more shopping and a couple of ladies tried to buy it out from under me! You know it's good when... right?...lol! I overheard the clerk telling them "sorry it's already sold" and I muttered to myself "darn skippy it is!" I think I would've gone on the war path over that dress! *winks*
It has a pretty flowered bodice with rhinestones.
It's a keeper for sure!
Next up is this set of 1890's purple transferware that I found at a favorite local junque store. I paid a goodly sum of $100 for service for 6 (minus 1 cup and saucer) I knew that the purple/mulberry color (What actually is the difference?) is a harder color to find, so I went ahead despite the high cost (at least for me) and brought them home.
There are seven of these dinner plates.
Even Replacements LTD only had a very few of these pieces. I have my fingers crossed that they'll be able to find me one more cup and saucer. If you happen to come across one let me know K? *winks*
Then I found this really cool frenchy clock at the Value Village for $3.99. I couldn't believe it was so cheap! It was love at first sight! I also purchased another cute little spelter frenchy clock for the same price at the same time....SCORE time! Lol!
Then at a the same antique mall as the prom dress I found this old silk petticoat for $22. It had such beautiful details....little tiny tucked lace pleats.... along with pleated silk....Did I mention lace galore?.....And it actually fits me too. *winks* I'm brainstorming all the different things I could do with it. Maybe a lampshade? Or a bed crown? Do you have any ideas? I'd love to hear them.
Here's a shot of my clock and petticoat together.
And via ebay another lovely boudoir lady for my collection ($39) This one a 1920's German munzerlite. Somebody took the time to crochet her some lacy finery. They even made her a little hat. Isn't she sweet? I hope I look this good when I'm 90ish!
At the Value Village I found a bowl for $3.99 that's almost a match for the platter I found a few weeks ago....I guess I'm consistent *winks*
Here's the other little frenchy clock. Tells good time too!
And on a completely different note I found myself a couple neat pairs of brand new shoes (also at the Value Village) I just love that place!
Some jeweled sandals by Apepazza for $6.99
And this pair of black naughty but nice Guess platforms for $12.99. At least my feet are feeling fashionable *winks*
Well that's it for this week.
Thanks for stopping by!
Please leave me a comment and I'll do the same for you.
I just LOVE hearing from you!
And if you found some great (Or even not so great) bargains please come get me K?
I'll add some envy green to your blog page! *winks*

Vanna, the prom dress is gorgeous lovey but I do not like her and that size zero just on the principle of it...ha. I love love the china and even though I attempt not to spend that amount of money I would have for that pattern. It is so pretty and unique. Back to prom dresses, I wore my mom's 1960 prom dress to my 1980 prom. My aunt had made it and it had a sweetheart neck line and was lavender but I removed the crinoline from the big A-line skirt. I have it somewhere still. ♥O
Looks like another successful week of shopping. I remember the prom dresses like that - real fun to sit gracefully in the car. :-D
Was going thru pics. recently and ran across one, where if I had stood sideways I looked like a 2 by 4. Wow! Those days are long gone. :-D What was really amazing - I ate what and when I wanted. Talk about a memory.
Enjoy your evening.
All great finds Vanna. The prom dress is beautiful, and so is the transferware. I may have wrestled you over the clock. lol FAA my friend.
I need to shope where you are!!!! What great finds. I love the dress and petticoat. I'd make a skirt out of the petticoat and pair it with a tailored, fitted silk jacket. I'd have wrestled you over every single one of those purchases.
The prom dress is amazing, yes they were tiny back then, that was prior to the days of super sized meals. Love all your other dish finds. Laura
Hey Vanna!
WOW! Great finds! I definitely missed out on that trip, huh.
Please, please come down and see me at Monticello!
Hugs, Joyce
I so adore your Flea Market Finds posts ... I feel like we are in the same room and you are showing me your latest treasures and I sit here and read about each one and oooh and ahhhh over each find! I laughed right out loud when I read "your darn skippy it's already sold" in reference to the gorgeous powder blue tulle prom dress...what a treat you are! Thank you ever so much for sharing your finds and your wit! <3 Hugs, Janice
The dress is beautiful and I love the long "frenchy" clock :) Beautiful finds! I want to go shopping with YOU!!
Jennelise
Fabulous goodies...the dishes are really amazing!
Hi Vanna, I DID fell in love with that blue prom dress! and the petticoat is such a beauty too... You see, here in Uruguay we don´t have real "flea markets" (just some little auctions and neighborhood sales) so when I read about your finds it sounds like a fairy tale to me! Thanks for sharing your treasures, send you a great hug.

Hi Vanna...
Oooh...your blue prom dress is "to die for", dear friend! It's gorgeous!!! I have to tell you that when I was little my Grandma used to take my sister and me to the Goodwill and let us pick out the formals/prom dresses to bring home and play dress up! I felt like a princess! Ooops...chasing bunny trails here! Hehe! But...I really do love your prom dress! The vintage lace petticoat is beautiful as well! I'm sure that you will find the perfect way to use or display it! Can't wait to see what you come up with.
Girlfriend, I just about died when I seen that gorgeous purple transferware! What a beautiful pattern! I think you got a "steal of a deal" on that set! It will really set a pretty table!
Thank you so much for sharing your latest treasure finds with us! I have so much fun coming by to see what you have found! Well dear friend, I am going to spend Christmas in Texas with my girls and grands...and my folks. I'm really excited! In case I don't get back by before Christmas I wanted to wish you and your honey a wonderful and blessed holiday!
Love ya, dear friend!

it's amazing the great things you find to buy out there. All I can say it's darn good shopping around Seattle. I can't wait to get out there and go shopping with you. Limit 2 days OK? LOL
I am loving your new blue prom dress. what a buy and that purple transferware was , well you just had to get it and love the lace slip, you could use it under a small tree and lay rhinestone pins around it
you sweet little doll I have never seen so many as you have I look for them for you when I go to the antiques malls and found one for $100.which I thought was to many $$$($20. I would have bought it)
the sandals are so cute you will look so hot wearing them and the hot moma black heels LOL
girl you got it going on again
Janice
Ok I have to admit I'm loving the tulle porm dress, so pretty! Shame it doesn't fit on your dress form. I smiled at the 21" waist thing.....I wish! Me I never find bargins but then again I'm usually only looking for my business and nothing comes cheap there think Christies. Did some bidding but one it reached the high ten g's I was out! Fortuny silk velvet, if only....
Well what can I say, Watch out-Hubby,Hubby, when Ms. Vanna puts on those black heals. And those sandals look like a million, Ms. Got Rocks. Of course my most favorite is the China. OMG. That was a deal, most times a platter is way over $100.00. I love it, but I think it would work better in my house? Maybe we can trade something. I remember my sister had a lite blue prom dress somewhat like that one, but hers had ruffled skirt. I used it many years after the fact for a Christmas Tree skirt when I did a blue and white Christmas window display. I hung crystal chandeliers in the window and put blue Christmas lite bulbs in them. It was a friends dress shop. I don't know what ever happened to that dress. Sorry sis. Love and Sissy Dog kisses. Richard from My Old Historic House.
Hi darling, My week would not be complete without you showing all your beautiful treasures. What a deal you got on the transferware, I would have had to brought them home too! Your bowl is "gorgeous"! On another note want you to know I'm searching High and Low for the perfect Chandy for the powder room in the shop.. I'm "obsessed" with it! lol The right one will come along for the right price, maybe Santa will surprise me. OK one can dream...... hugs ~lynne~
Love all the vintage clothing you have found! Would so have loved to have been in the era of elegant dressing!
I love your pretty bowl! 3.99- great deal!
Oh and those be-jeweled sandals! Wish my feet looked as pretty in a pair!
WEll it is one of the party days so have a full day ahead!

Capers of the vintage vixens
The purple transferware is just gorgeous - love, love, loved the set. The prom dress is pretty but what do you do with it? I don't think my big toe was ever a size zero.
I need to shop where you shop. What a fabulous treasure trove of goodies. I love that dress and the clock and petticoat look so good together. But, I almost fell off my chair when I saw your purple transferware. I have the small serving plate, it belonged to my grandmother. Just went and looked at the back, and it's the same thing. I've never seen another one before today. So pretty, and you're so lucky to have found them!
Wow! You got the motherlode of awesomeness goin' here. You must live right outside the 'Garden of Eden', or maybe the 'Gates of Heaven'... LOL
Cool stuff~ and I love the plum color of those dishes. Fabulous finds. Can't wait to see what you find next... :)

Hi sweet Vanna. Wow you found lots of fabulous things this week. Oh my the dress is soooooo dreamy. I love the blue color too. I am shocked at how well preserved it is. It looks so pretty in front of the mirror, like a poof of a cloud. Vanna, I am drooling over those transware dishes. Oh my goodness, the color and the pattern is awesome. You got those for a steal! Great petticoat and the clock too, made for a lovely photo. Your tootsies look fab in those sandals. I love those too. You had a great week, and have a fabulous weekend.

Hi darling, I'm not even sure of prices of "pretty" chandys', most I've looked at are around $100 - $150. The powder room isn't too large so I can't go over the top like I would really like to. lol. I so appreciate you looking for me.. hugs ~lynne~
You really did find so many good ones, Vanna. The blue gown is so pretty and the clocks (I want them!) but the set of purple transferware is my favorite. What a pretty color and I think $100 is a very good buy...Christine
That marvelous dress at that price . . . my jaw is on the floor!
Nancy
You always find the best Treasures GF!!! I should really go Treasure Trawling with you some day... *Winks*
Merry Christmas from the Arizona Desert... Dawn... The Bohemian
Well hey, I've actually come across a few shops you probably would enjoy once you and your man-thing head out to the Land of the Rising Sun. In fact, I bought your Christmas present from one of those places which I think will go well with some of your stuff francaise, but I can't tell you what they are because that would spoil your Christmas surprise.
The movie trailer looks fun but I will probably have to wait another six months or more before its released in Japan.
It may be time for my extremely short movie reviews again.
TTFN (ta ta for now) in case you weren't sure.
Wow this post is a dream! Gorgeous stuff!
xo
Sharon
WOW! What fabulous finds. That robe is quite amazing!
I love the Dutch transferware you found as well...I have a few of the plates. The colors are so rich! Mulberry is really a blackish purple transferware...almost like flow blue where the ink flows but it's a blackish color with a purple-ish cast. I see (and sometimes myself) purple called mulberry, plum and even aubergine. They all work! =) Nonetheless your set is gorgeous!
That petticoat is stunning...the lace alone has to worth a lot, I would think. Gosh it would be gorgeous made into some sort of bed crown!
Cute shoes to!
Nancy
