Flea Market Finds Pour La Vingt-Six

Hello again and welcome to....
FLEA..... MARKET..... FINDS!!!
WHOO HOOO!!!

Actually I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to come up with anything to share for this weeks post, but then good fortune struck in the form of an estate sale only one block away from me! And it was Sunday so everything was half off! YIPPEE!
Then one visit to the Goodwill netted me another interesting find. Sometimes when it rains it sprinkles Lol!

I've had to be good for the last week because I purchased something really special that I'll share with you soon *winks*

However I did find a few little things....so come on lets take a looky!

I'll start with a new addition to my boudoir doll collection found on ebay for $50.
Doesn't she look a little like Marilyn Monroe?
She even has the cute little mole, but I think my doll predates Marilyn by a few years *winks*

I added a little rhinestone necklace to give her some "Marilyn glam" *winks*
And with my french candy box doll from last week
Then I scored a few new additions to my small vintage rhinestone collection at the estate sale.
A 1950's cigarette holder for $17.50 that extends on and on! And this buffalo head penny necklace pendent for $2.
A pair of vintage screw back earrings for $1.
Just look at how long that cigarette holder gets! It's crazy long!! And no I don't smoke but for some reason I just love old cigarette holders! So Audrey Hepburn Breakfast At Tiffany's! *winks*
Then for another $2 I found this small vintage etched glass curio cabinet. I really wasn't sure what to do with it. I figured "worst case scenario" I'd just sell it if I couldn't find a spot for it.....But......
...then as I was taking pictures of my rhinestone finds I thought they might just look cute in this little case?? So I tried them out....Hmmmm  kind of like it....
With a little more added....OK a lot more *winks* I like it a little better....
Then I added a cherub lamp to the top and I loved it! I don't think I've had this much fun for $2 in years!!
What do you think? Isn't it sweet?
And my score at the Goodwill was this Victorian style doll house/mansion. It has some issues. The front steps are missing, the windows (which open and close) are a little wanky, but it was quite a steal so I couldn't say no.....You understand right?? *winks*

Window open.
Hardwood floors through the front door....
Funny how even empty doll houses have an air of mystery.... and seem just a little haunted?
This one was made in the 70's or 80's and "how could you tell" you might be thinking?

It has those awful popcorn ceilings!!!
Sheesh you can't even get away from them in doll houses! Lol!
From the back.
And finally this sweet little gypsy girl who's read your cards and wants you to know that you'll have great luck for the rest of the day!!
Thank you for stopping by!
I hope you'll leave me a comment and I'll do the same.
And please come back next week for more flea market finds.
I LOVE to hear from you!
Vanna

Girl - I was drooling over the bling you got, then saw the doll house! I also have one and it has been on my list to "redo" for a long time now as it needs a lot of work. I am anxious to see what you do with yours. It takes up a lot of room . :-D

Vanna, you always surprise me with your fabulous finds. I love the glam from the Marilyn like doll and those cigarette holders are smashing! No, I don't smoke but like you I've always thought they were so cool. I guess it comes from watching to many old movies. You had a good day..........I want to see what you do with the doll house too. I have an empty one too. Unbelievable what it would cost to furnish it.

Vanna,
Love all your finds but mostly I love the doll house. it is called The San Franciscan and I have one just like it. They were sold at A. C. Moore's and my hubby bought mine for me as a birthday present. A wonderful man built it for me. I did without the steps in mine because i had too much furniture and the rooms are small. A.C. Moore sold this model up to 3 years ago.
Here is the link to my post on my doll house if you would like to check it out:

http://adebbie-dabblechristmas.blogspot.com/2010/12/home-tour-victorian-doll-house.html

There are many sites on Ebay, online and A.C. Moore still carries doll house accessories...I hope you enjoy it as much as I do mine!!

hugs,
Debbie

I love how much fun you can have on a budget. That case is perfect for your glittery finds.
My favorite of your finds in the penny necklace. I could wear that every day.

The popcorn ceiling made me laugh. I have a man who still loves that look. Whatever can I do?

You never fail to entice and inspire us all! I love the way you displayed the rhinestone collection- and the doll house is perfect! My daughter is selling a lot of dollhouse furniture on eBay. Anything particular you might be looking for to furnish your house with? I love coming here to be awed!!!

Ms. V. You went and did it again. WOW! I don't know why, but I have been longing for a doll house. Go figure that one.Maybe we are twins, seperated at birth. I had a wonderful one some 30 years ago and I never got over selling it. All of them that I find are hundreds of dollars. I would love to run onto one as you did. You are so lucky. Now, you know you have to get furniture!!!!Endless searching. Ain't it fun. Latter. Crazy Richard at My Old Historic House.

I was waiting to see how the thumbnail picture of the house fit into the Flea Market Find title...I had NO IDEA it was a doll house! It looks like a real house in the picture. Love all your rhinestones...very B'fast at Tiffany's along with the cigarette holder. And yes the case for $2 is quite fun...love how you displayed items in it.

As per your last comment I hope I get first pick! Serious, what are you going to do with it?

OMG! What a fabulous doll house, Vanna! I have one in our basement that was our daughter's and I just said to her recently that we will have to make sure it doesn't get thrown out {we're moving} as we clean up so we can redecorate it for my granddaughter. I'll probably have more fun playing with it then anyone else!

LMAO Vanna at the "Splat" identifier being the "Word" after you psyching yourself into considering a 27+ mile comeback!? *LOL* I'm still impressed though... that's an amazing Marathon Goal for anyone of any age...

At the Nursing Home today a 99 1/2 year old new Friend of my Mom was talking about his inventions... he made millions... the first million before his 20th birthday... and a million bucks way back then was way more than a mil now... and he only laments that he's running out of time now to get all his ideas out of his head and into practice... now THAT'S inspirational don't you think?! I Love talking to this Guy & he's encouraging my G-Son to pursue the Scientific Dreams Prince R wants to attain... saying that all good Scientists also make great Inventors and THAT'S where you become a "Made Man"... now Prince R is really jazzed about inventing SOMETHING! As bright as that kid is I don't think it will take long... *no brag, just fact... insert proud Gramma face*

Hi Swwet Vanna! First I want to mention the love of the doll house. I LOVE it. I built one many many years ago and then gave it to my Mom. It was a huge Victorian. She used to decorate it per Holidays but now it is tucked away as she had to downsize and there is no room for it. I also LOVE that rhinestone jewelery. So pretty. Have a great weekend.

Oh goodness Vanna - what treasures!!! I adore your dollhouse! Did you know that I have a dollhouse out in my garage that my dad built for me? It is is HUGE and needs some tlc but I dragged that across country with me to make sure that I had it when I moved. I love it. I just might have to get it out and share it one of these days!! Thanks for sharing at FNF :)

I absolutely cannot get over the $2 curio. Aren't you missing a zero or two? That was the perfect find. I am telling you that you live in the part of the country with the absolute best finds. The cigarette holders are to die for. They would go great with my antique cigarette cases. I'm just sayin'.

Vanna, I've been reading through your recent posts that I've missed. As always, you have found such unique and beautiful treasures. I want to see a picture of you holding that cig. holder in its longest position. I think you could burn someone who is across the room with that thing! I love the little glass cabinet with all of the bling inside, and that cherub lamp on top is to die for. I can just imagine how you will decorate that doll house. What fun! I don't know if I'm just remembering it from RMS days, but I don't think I've ever realized how huge your master bedroom is! What a wonderful space and what beautiful pieces live there. I've always thought that was the most beautiful armoire I'd ever seen, and I am in love with that pretty desk in front of the screen. Love the way you have it in the room too (not against a wall). I'm trying to remember your most recent post. I do remember the pretty doll who looks like MM and that screen is gorgeous. I love the panel that still has the wallpaper on it. Too bad the other's are missing the wp. It is just so much fun to see what you find. Your treasures are amazing. Hugs, laurie
