I don't know about ya'll but I am always on the lookout for the perfect chandelier *sighs dreamily* There's just nothing that adds more romance and glamour to a room than a beautiful chandy! Don't you agree? I keep hoping that one day I'll walk into the worlds most fabulous garage sale...It might look something like this *winks*
And I'll find my dream chandelier for somethin' like $100...Yeah I know, not likely! But hey this blog is "Delusions of Grandeur" And I'm gonna stay deluded dang it!! My dream chandy would be 18th century french, preferably rock crystal, and not electrified. This one would do beautifully!
But then again, there's something to be said for macaroni crystals...They make me swoon! And isn't this chandy swoon-o-licious?!!
Hmmmm liking this one too!
My mother was born in Sweden....This one would remind me of my heritage......
Or all out gaudy!! Yeppers that works for me too!! I can't tell where the crystal ge gaws start and end on this one...Always a good thang *winks*
And I always love a little empire style!
This one isn't quite as dreamy as the french 18th century one....But it'll do! We are talkin' $100 here *winks*
OK now ya'll need to scale down your expectations a few LARGE notches because these chandys are from my house lol! This 1930's french palm chandelier sits over what passes for a dining room at my house *sighs* It's all open concepty and icky! One day I'll have a "real" dining room with french doors!
Then my sweet new friend Silver from One Day at a Time gifted me with this wonderful award! She has a most wonderful blog....But I'm tellin' ya, if you're hungry it's torture!! She always has the most beautiful pictures of food!! And she's a real sweetie too! So stop by and tell her I sent ya!

Oh Vanna, it would be so hard to choose a favorite. I love them all, but the one shaped like a palm is so different from what you normally see, that I'd have to say that's the most unique. I love them all and would love to find one meant just or me. lol Hugs, Marty
I am bowing to the queen of chandeliers....!!!!! I will start calling you your highness!!! I love chandeliers, too, but your collection makes mine look pretty pitifull!!! Love all of them!
Isabel

Vanna, what a thrill to see your beautiful collection and when I make the pictures bigger I get to peek in on your beautiful rooms again.. Oh my favorite places..What a beautiful home. I hate to admit this but I don't know what macaroni crystals are. You will have to give me a lesson! Love, Cindy

Vanna, they are all gorgeous! Only you would have a chandelier in your exercise room! My favorite has always been the one that almost caused a divorce. You're right, it was worth it! It is fabulous! Loved your story about getting him to complete the project! laurie
Loved your chandeliers...each and everyone of them! I just picked my fourth one for $134., and it was a pearl waiting to be snatched., we can't wait to get it hung. Sweet share! ~CC Catherine ;)
These are all gorgeous Vanna. It's so impressive to see them all in one post. If I had to pick, I would say the palm leaf and the mini empire. I just love that you even have one in your exercise room. Hugs, Kathy
Oh my gosh Vanna you will not believe this! I have been searching for months for aqua blue macaroni chandelier swags (although I didn't know what to call them)! I got onto that site so fast and ordered them you wouldn't belive it. I've got an dark iron chadelier that I am really not in love with but the price was right and worked for the time, and I have been dreaming of swagging it with aqua blue beads ever since we painted the dining room provencial olive. I should of known to ask you but God took care of that for me.. My goodness what a present.. Thank-you for being your brilliant self. Love, Cindy
Hi Vanna,
WOW that is a lot of Chandyliciousness! (hehe, how do you like that word? I give you permission to use it anytime).
I favorite style chandies are the empire style. I also love the french palm chandy you have in your dining room.
Thank you so much for the reward. You're too kind my friend.
Kris
Oh my dear what beautiful chandys you have!! The palm one is so very unique but I think the one your hubby "lovingly" fixed for you is my favorite!! I have 2 matching chandys that we took down from the livingroom and need to figure out what to do with them--
So the question is how often to you get up on your ladder and clean all those sparkleys so they look shiny and brite!??
praying you are having a glorious week!

mary
Wow - my jaw is still hanging down. Your chandeliers are gorgeous !
I'm still laughing at you getting your hubby to put that one chandelier together....that's one amazing husband !
....and having a chandelier in your exercise room - how absolutely divine-who needs a gym !
Cheers
Bre
OMG, Vanna! You just made me slobber all over. Those chandys are all gorgeous! Actually, I like the ones in your house better than the earlier ones you showed. Hard to pick a favorite but if I have to pick, I like the one given by your hubby, the one in the tea room and the one in the family room, but I really like them all. Thanks for the award...appreciate it very much! I'll post it on my next post. Today's was too long already...LOL!...Christine
VANNA! You owe me a new keyboard....because I just drooled all over mine and shorted it out! Your chandeliers make me CRAZY! They are all spectacular...and I am such a sucker for a gorgeous chandalier....but that Palm chandelier....OH MY GOSH I WOULD SELL MY MOTHER FOR THAT THING! (sorry mom)
Hi Vanna, they are gorgeous ! You have a great collection there girl !
Oh Vanna, I have to mop the floor now because I just drooled all over it!! Chandy heaven at your house! That Palm leaf one, never seen anything like it, amazing!!And I am determined to start catching up with you, LOL!
That store you were in, wow, I hate to know how much they were. I am like you, want the deal, I am Scotch, so there you go. Plus I found my first chandy, the one in our dining room for $25 at the thrift store, so that spoiled me big time!! It still had most all its prisms too. I just wish we had taller ceilings, makes it harder for them but I am determined to find a way. Just got some arms off eBay to repair the little 4 light spanish brass one I found on our anniversary trip, so that will be going up next, not sure where yet though. Oh I have to go back and look again at all yours. I love your posts, so well written! And your home, well I could move in.
And if I get down your way, I want a tour and tea in the tea room!!
I will bring my famous cheesecake!
Hugs, Linda
Pour Mois! Merci Beaucoup, Madame Vanna! How do you like that high school french? I'm so excited! I got another award and I've got gorgeous bookends on the way! No wonder I can't sleep! This is way past my normal bedtime girlfriend! You're just the seetest Vanna! What would I do without ya! (Have no blogger awards and no bookends!!!!!) I love your chandys! I am going to have to take some pics of my inlaws' chandys! They've been collecting beautiful things for years! You'd love my mom-n-laws ivory miniatures too! I've got a job for ya too! It's about time I replace my fleur chandy in the dining room with a crystal one so when you walk in that garage sale and find that perfect chandelier buy it for me! You've got enough! It's my turn! Love ya V! Lauralu :)
Love them all. Lucky girl.. mishelle
What a good time I just had going from room to room in your gorgeous home...I don't know how you could possibly improve on any of your chandeliers...each of yours is so pretty! My favorite is the one you don't want anymore & want to send to me...LOL ;-) Bo
Mornin' Girlfriend...
Just read your sweet note over at my placa and came a runnin'...I think it was the word "chandeliers" that motivated the journey...hehe!!!
Oh my..oh my..oh my!!! I just knew that I had died and gone to "chandelier heaven" as soon as I got here!!! Girl, it was sensory overload in every aspect...hehe!!! You have some of the most beautiful chandeliers that I've ever seen...and to think that you got them all or at least most of them for a bargain just makes me weak in the knees! Hehe! Well, each one is fantastically beautiful in it's own right...but I think that my favorite would be the 4 ft. chandy that your honey must have spent hours and hours...restringing! Hehe...isn't he a sweetheart!!! I have never, ever seen a palm chandy...how unique and simply stunning!!! Hehe...and just like Cindy, I enlarged the photos to see the chandys...and to get a "bird's eye" view of your beautiful home and other pretties!!! I do declare that you have the most beautiful home I've ever seen...just filled with all of the most beautiful things that I've ever seen!!!
Well...what a treat...to feast upon all your glorious chandeliers first thing this morning!!! And thank you Sweetie for thinking about me in giving this friend's award...I'm so honored...truly!!! Thank you darlin'...you always just make my day!!! You know that I love ya!!!
Chari
Ohhhh Vanna, Your chandeliers are so beautiful. The one hanging in your dining room is so unique. I love them all. I couldn't pick a favorite either.
Oh your chandeliers are amazing. The french palm is so unique.
When you decide to replace any of them let me know...I'd like to replace ours someday ;-)
OMG what great chandeliers... I love them all... My daughter has one in her room. I loved them all. Your DH did a great job redoing the chandelier I love that one and I loved the one that looked like a palm tree... lets just say I loved them all....LOL
~SIMPLY STUNNING!~
Hi sweetie,I love---that one that to me resembles a plam tree.I have never seen one like that. What is it called?
you know I love your entire house.kiss kiss...Ann
Loved the post! The frame of one of my chandeliers got bent in our move. You could tell the frame was bent slightly after it was hung. I didn't want a bent chandelier hanging in my dining room, so I had it taken down, took it apart and used the crystals as Christmas ornaments. It just makes my Christmas tree!
An award!!! For Me????? I am so excited! My first award!!! Now, you know of course, I have no idea how to "get it" or "link it" but just the thought of it makes me so happy!!! Thank you for thinking of me!!
Lou Cinda :) :) :) :)
Hiya!! :-)
Thank you so much for thinking of ME!! :-D
You have a great collection of chandaliers!!! I think my favorite was the 1ton one (haha.. almost chinese... "won-ton-won" haha)
It lookes stunning!!
I'm more of a "cabin" person, and like alot of wooden things.. I have a hanging lamp made by my great-grandfather, carved out of wood :-) LOVE IT!
Will post about the award tomorrow... it's getting late over here ;-)
Monica
Oh my, I love them all! What a lovely collection! Several people have encouraged me to add one to my living room--after seeing yours, I truly think they fit in every room. - So perhaps I need to shop for more than one--- Thanks for the peek! Love, Paula
Vanna~ I'm honestly so happy to get an education on chandeliers!...I never knew there were so many styles! I really do love each and every one...the the one in your bathroom is so girly and unique (my favorite combination! :-)), but my heart just STOPPED when I saw the one in your master bedroom!!! I just love everything about it! I've often wanted to put one in my bedroom even IF I live in a log house...hey, you can do it right?! :-)
THANK YOU for the award V! It really does mean so much being a new blogger and all!!! Love ya! L~
It is a deal and thanks for your nice comments! Love, Paula
She only had two so I got both of them. When I get them and see how far they go I will then decide what I need to do. I could even mix another color we will see. I was so excited to see that though and just could hardly believe it. The only other ones that I found were real stone and they were really cool but super expensive..these are just as pretty and the price wasn't bad at all. Thanks so much for being a part of this divine gift. Love, Cindy
Vanna so sorry you left my house in a cloud of dust from checking on my drapes. It's been forever since I have given them a good spanking on the line!
You not tweaking again are you? I thought your wire cloche vignette looked marvelous!
I think Janet is just under alot of pressure like so many with the economy such as it is. We listened to a sermon that reminded us of Paul being pressed down (on all sides not just one) but was not shaken. I think we are all being pressed down in one way or another- I just hope I come out smelling rosey instead something else!

Oh goodie I hope so. I want to swag them from the top of the chandy to each arm kind of like the Sweedish one you are showing here that is sooooo gorgeous. Well I will sure share a picture when I get it done. I love the color too... oooh I am so excited! Love, Cindy
Oh I think Chandylicious Saturdays would be FABULOUS Vanna!! And YOU would be the perfect hostess with the mostess with your great collection! I'm afraid I'd just have to show my dream chandy for now...but I'm in whenever you're ready sistah!:-) L~
Vanna, it worked! I snagged that puppy! Thank you so much, it was so thoughtful of you...now on to the chandy's...in a word, STUNNING! I can't pick one I like better cos I love them all.
Lou Cinda

Hi Vanna,
I wanted to thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving your sweet comment. xo
I love a good chandy too...don't we all? I actually just bought a new one at Lamps Plus...$799 tp $499 to $250. Even that is alot for me to spend. I am with you - $100 tops...but it was a great deal, new, so no electrical issues...and I think it will be beautiful in my inspiration dining room I am working on. I will post it when I get it up! I love your "dream" of the chandy garage sale!! lol crack me up ~Cheryl
Vanna, I like your idea *winks*
Let me know when and I'll definitely be there.
Oh' thanks again for the award. I was tickled you added me.
Kris
Vanna-
Thanks for thinking of me..how am i?
Apart from a broken toe nail, achy bones all over after what I went through in my Akido class (post in Reflection).. also a little difficulty trying to get my clothes changed this morning.. i can't really complain.
..and oooo.. those chandeliers..
a piece like this would have looked absolutely fab under our piano off the double volumn ceiling! Took me a long time to find one under our post beam- but we did, thankfully!

LMAO?
Spare me the mental torture of trying to crack this one, will ya sweetie..
i think i have suffered enough physical wise- i thought i would appear in the local dailies this morning as top story, "Lady died while trying to get into her jeans..."

I couldn't pick out a fav - they are all gorg!!
Have a good weekend ~
Vanna congrats on your award! I love those chandeliers. The palm one is really different. I like the one in your shabby chic room. :) Are you going to the antique show at the Expo Center this weekend?
Hi Miss V, Oh my goodness these are all so amazing and I am with you I think every room deserves a nice chandelier. I only have two but I looked long and hard to find them. I did not know you then or I bet you could have found one for me instantly. I just discovered your new little side blog to give us out here in blog land and opportunity to buy some of your little beauties. Great idea and you do have some beauties and impeccable taste. Hugs Kathysue
Vanna what day will you be there? I'd love to see her booth!!
I am going to have tea with my girlfriend at 11:30 and it's not far from there and on my way home so I can be there around 1:30! Where should we meet? My email is misha503@gmail.com if you want to send me your cell or I can send you mine! I have to be good...Miss Chocolate and Marmalade is on a budget (she's been spending a lot lately). Lol!
DEAR VANNA,
I LOVE YOUR CHANDELIERS....I HAVE TO SAY I HAVE NEVER SEEN A 1930 FRENCH PALM CHANDLIER. THAT IS VERY DIFFERENT BUT YET SO BEAUTIFUL AT THE SAME TIME....I LOVE HOW THE CRYSTALS HANG DOWN.
YOU ARE QUEEN CHANDELIER.
THANK YOU FOR SHARING ALL OF THEM.....MAYBE YOU ARE MEANT TO WRITE A BOOK ABOUT CHANDELIERS.
ONE DAY I WILL TAKE PICTURES OF THE ONE IN MY DINING ROOM...IT IS GREEN...WAS GAS THAT HAD TO BE ELECTRIFIED......I LOVE IT SO MUCH AND FROM WHAT I'VE BEEN TOLD IT IS QUITE OLD.

LOVE your chandeliers! You have great taste ! Love them all! Looks like you have some fabulous furniture I would love too! !:)
Hello, I saw you on my follow list and I came to visit. I just love your chandeliers! I lost count how many you have in your home. I love them too, but I have yet to convince my husband that he needs to put them up instead of the fans. Have a wonderful week.
Hi- I'm a new visitor! I love your chandelier collection- especially that palm tree fixture. I would have one in every room if I could. I was very lucky that the original 1930's chandelier was still in my dining room when I bought it.
Hi Vanna! We have that same exact Palm Chandelier in our home. It came with our house when we bought it, I am curious to know how much it could be worth? I am willing to sell it.
Thanks!
I've seen them go between 1k and 2.5k on ebay. So good luck with yours! vanna
Hi! Oh, what fanastic chandies! I LOVE that last one that you have hanging in you bathroom. Just gorgeous! I am a first time visitor and your newest follower.
Hi Vanna...
My friend, you DO have the prettiest chandeliers ever!!! Ohhh yes...I can only dream of some of your pretties!!!
